As part of its student program, the Greater Sudbury Police Service offers summer job opportunities to high school, university, and college students. The purpose of these placements is to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the Greater Sudbury Police Service and its role in the community, as well as to gain experience and develop new skills.

If you qualify for the Student Program (see guidelines above), submit your application online for any of the following student positions: Assistant Boat Patrol, Fleet Assistant, Stores Assistant, Property Assistant, Receptionist - Central Records, Finance Assistant, Information Systems, Assistant, Clerk - Various Branches.
You'll be contacted only if you're short-listed as a qualified candidate. You'll then be offered an opportunity to move onto the next phase of the selection process. Successful candidates are required to pass a criminal record and background check. Most positions start at the end of June for an 8-week duration. Please note the application deadline is March 2nd, 2012.
Volunteer
In order to volunteer with the Greater Sudbury Police Station, you must be over the age of 18 and successfully pass a police background check. You can volunteer in many areas, including Citizens on Patrol, the Sudbury Region Police Museum, Lions Eye in the Sky, Community Information Office Program, and the Snowmobile Trail Officers Program.
